Aloha Sushi will begin interviewing for positions in December, 2006.

We will be seeking the following positions:

Sushi Chef & Cooks

Prepare and ensure the highest standards of food quality and consistency. Maintain assigned work area in a clean and sanitary condition. Consistently maintains all food standards, specifications and recipes as outlined by the company. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner; must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills. Two or more years of work experience in food service and food preparation required. Must be familiar with basic cooking techniques, must posses basic knowledge of food production, sanitation, safety and preparation skills. Must have and maintain a valid “Food & Beverage Worker’s Card” issued by Walla Walla County Health Department. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to stand for long periods of time. Must be available to attend a 40-hour, employer-sponsored paid training program.

Bus Person / Dishwasher

Will provide the guests and Sushi Chefs with effective, efficient, friendly service for the purposes of ware washing as well as general cleaning. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to anticipate the needs of co-workers and guests. Familiarity of ware washing, basic janitorial, and table service required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted or 50 pounds with assistance. Must have and maintain a valid “Food & Beverage Worker’s Card” issued by Walla Walla County Health Department. Must be available to attend a employer-sponsored paid training program.

Host(ess)/Cashier

Will provide the guest with effective, efficient, friendly service to ensure their return visit. Previous host(ess)/cashiering experience preferred. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner; must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills; must be at least 21 years of age; must be able to repeatedly lift 15 lbs. to chest; must be able to stand for long periods of time; must be able to speak and understand English. Must have and maintain a valid “Food & Beverage Worker’s Card” issued by Walla Walla County Health Department. Must be available to attend a employer-sponsored paid training program.
